Z
- Zero-Proof Bookkeeping
An accounting check whereby posted entries are systematically subtracted from an ending balance to identify errors. A balance of zero when all entries have been subtracted proves that the entries have been entered correctly.
- Z-tranche
A special class which does not receive any interest or principal payments until all other tranches have been completely paid off.
